Supporting Healthy, Smokefree Native Nations
The Wellness Innovations for Native Nations (WINN) project shares the belief of the California Tobacco Prevention Program and many others working in tobacco education throughout the State: All individuals have the right to be protected from the dangers of secondhand smoke (SHS) where they live, work, and play.
About WINN
WINN is a project funded by the California Tobacco Prevention Program from July 2025 to June 2028. The project works to adopt and implement a commercial tobacco-free policy at a minimum of four tribes, health clinics, nonprofit organizations, or for-profit businesses. The policy can apply to buildings including worksites such as Tribal Health Clinics, Tribal Administration, day care centers, after-school programs, tribal-serving nonprofit organizations, casinos, restaurants, and other indoor worksites.
